Research Participation

If you are breast cancer patients, survivors or medical professionals, you may offer your help by participating in the work of the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Registry (HKBCR). At present, breast cancer treatment options are mainly founded on research, data and analyses from the West. Through the compilation of information on local breast cancer cases, the HKBCR targets to provide medical practitioners, public policy makers, the general public and the HKBCF with insights and analyses on breast cancer, which enables doctors to consider a range of risk factors, offer recommendations for prevention and early detection, as well as treatment and care solutions.

 

Moreover, the HKBCR helps focus public concern for breast cancer and assist the HKSAR Government to draw up more comprehensive and appropriate healthcare policies for improved breast health care, which will lessen the burdens on patients and the society at large.
